Tencent Cloud NAT Gateway Monitoring Integration

Utilize Site24x7 Tencent Cloud NAT Gateway Monitoring Integration to:

  • Track inbound and outbound bandwidth and utilization to prevent saturation of NAT capacity.
  • Monitor connection counts to detect unusual traffic patterns or connection floods.
  • Observe public traffic volumes for cost management and capacity planning.
  • Alert on bandwidth utilization thresholds before users experience degraded connectivity.

This help document contains instructions to set up Tencent Cloud NAT Gateway Monitoring Integration and related information.

Setup and configuration

During your Tencent Cloud monitor setup, if you have selected NAT Gateway in the Services/Resources drop-down, all your NAT Gateway resources will be auto-detected and monitored without the need to manually create a monitor for each resource.

If you haven't selected NAT Gateway during Tencent Cloud monitor creation, follow these instructions:

  • Log in to your Site24x7 account.
  • Go to Cloud > Tencent Cloud, select your Tencent Cloud monitor, then go to any of the dashboards on the left pane.
  • Click the hamburger icon and select Edit, which brings you to the Edit Tencent Cloud Monitor page.
  • On the Edit Tencent Cloud Monitor page, select NAT Gateway from the Services/Resources drop-down and click Save.
  • After successful configuration, go to Cloud > Tencent Cloud > NAT Gateway. Now you can view the discovered resources.

Data collection frequency

Performance metrics of your Tencent Cloud NAT Gateway resources will be collected every five minutes and updated in the Site24x7 portal every five minutes by default; metrics are also collected based on the selected poll interval.

Supported metrics

Metric nameDescriptionUnit
Outbound Bandwidth Rate of data sent out through the NAT Gateway Mbps
Inbound Bandwidth Rate of data received through the NAT Gateway Mbps
Outbound Packets Number of packets sent out per second Packets/second
Inbound Packets Number of packets received per second Packets/second
Connections Number of active connections passing through the NAT Gateway Count
Public Outbound Traffic Cumulative volume of data sent out over the public network MB
Public Inbound Traffic Cumulative volume of data received over the public network MB
Outbound Bandwidth Utilization Percentage of outbound bandwidth capacity currently in use Percent
Inbound Bandwidth Utilization Percentage of inbound bandwidth capacity currently in use Percent
Connection Count Total number of concurrent connections tracked by the NAT Gateway Count

Threshold configuration

Global configuration

  • Go to the Admin section in the left navigation pane.
  • Select Configuration Profiles from the left pane and choose the Threshold and Availability (+) tab from the drop-down menu. Click Add Threshold Profile from the top-right corner.
