How to Monitor Virtual Private Cloud in Huawei Cloud

Site24x7 monitors the availability and health of your Huawei Cloud Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), giving your team real-time visibility into the operational status of your cloud network.

The dependency view maps all associated resources, helping your team quickly identify and resolve connectivity issues across your cloud infrastructure.

Use case

Ensure connectivity: Track the live status of your VPN gateways and connections to detect outages instantly. Respond to failures before they disrupt hybrid cloud access or cross-region communication for dependent workloads.

Setup and configuration

VPC resources are auto-discovered and monitored during the Huawei Cloud integration. To enable monitoring, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Cloud > Huawei > Add Huawei Monitor. Learn how to add a Huawei Cloud monitor.
  2. While adding or editing a Huawei Cloud monitor, select VPC from the Service/Resource Types drop-down menu and click Save.
  3. Go to Cloud > Huawei. Then, select the created Huawei monitor.
  4. Click VPC to view the performance metrics.

Summary

Get a consolidated view of your VPC health and connectivity at a glance.

The Summary tab displays the current operational status of your VPC, helping your team quickly assess the availability of your cloud network in real time.

Dependency view

The Dependency View visualizes all network resources associated with your VPC, including subnets, route tables, and connected services that are mapped to the Huawei Cloud.

Use it to trace the blast radius of any connectivity issue and identify which dependent resources are affected when your VPC status changes.
