User privacy in APM Insight

Protecting user privacy and application data is essential in modern application monitoring. With Site24x7 APM Insight, application performance data is collected securely to help organizations monitor application health, diagnose performance issues, and improve end-user experience without compromising user privacy or data security.

APM Insight collects telemetry data from monitored applications through lightweight language-specific agents installed within your application environment. The collected data includes application metrics, transaction traces, database query performance, external service calls, exceptions, and infrastructure-level performance information required for monitoring and troubleshooting purposes.

As part of transaction monitoring, certain request-level metadata such as IP addresses, URLs, request headers, response times, browser information, device details, and geographic information may be processed temporarily to provide transaction analytics, distributed tracing, and end-user experience insights.

Site24x7 does not use APM Insight to intentionally identify, profile, or track individual end users. Sensitive personal information is not actively inspected or stored by default as part of monitoring operations. Any transient request metadata processed during monitoring is used strictly for performance analysis and troubleshooting purposes within the customer’s monitoring environment.

Collected monitoring data is securely transmitted and processed through Site24x7 monitoring services. Customers maintain control over the applications and environments being monitored, including the configuration of data collection, masking, filtering, and retention policies.
