Celona monitoring

Monitor the availability and performance of your entire Celona environment with Site24x7. Get real-time visibility into your Celona orchestrator, the organizations within it, and every edge node and access point in your private cellular network—all from a single console. Now, you can detect and resolve network issues before they affect your end users.

Use cases

  • Track the health of the Celona orchestrator and drill down to individual organizations, edge nodes, and access points when an outage occurs.
  • Identify degraded edge nodes early by monitoring CPU, memory, and network utilization trends.
  • Monitor radio-level access point metrics, like signal strength, channel bandwidth, and SAS grant status, to keep your private cellular network performing at its best.
  • MSPs can monitor multiple customer organizations under one orchestrator and isolate issues to a specific customer network quickly.

Benefits

  • Reduce the mean time to repair (MTTR) with RCA that pinpoints upstream errors and lets you create a request in ServiceDesk Plus Cloud directly from the monitor.
  • Visualize your network hierarchy with an interactive topology map and view each component at a glance.
  • Receive instant alerts when the availability or performance of any component breaches configured thresholds.
  • Analyze historical trends with log reports, alert logs, and outage data for every level of your network.

Supported components

Site24x7 discovers and monitors the following components of your Celona SD-WAN:

ComponentDescription
OrchestratorThe parent Celona monitor. It tracks the overall availability of your Celona deployment and lists all the organizations, edge nodes, and access points within it.
OrganizationA customer account within the orchestrator. Each organization is added as a child monitor with its own summary, topology, edge nodes, and access points.
Edge nodeA Celona edge device within an organization. Site24x7 tracks its availability, resource utilization, and inventory details.
Access pointA Celona access point (AP) within an organization. Site24x7 tracks its availability, radio performance, provisioning status, and inventory details.

Prerequisites

  • The URL of your Celona orchestrator (for example, https://zylker.com).
  • An API key generated from your Celona orchestrator with read-only privileges that has access to all the organizations you wish to monitor.

Adding a monitor

Add a Celona monitor to track the availability and performance of your Celona orchestrator and all the organizations, edge nodes, and access points within it.

View your Celona monitor

  1. Log in to your Site24x7 account.
  2. Navigate to SDN > Celona SD-WAN.
  3. Click the required monitor.

You can explore the following tabs:

Summary

View the Availability and Downtimes of the orchestrator, along with the RCA for any active outage, the next poll schedule, response time, and device details like the Orchestrator URL.

Topology

Get a real-time visualization of how your orchestrator, organizations, edge nodes, and access points are interconnected. Down components are highlighted, helping you quickly assess the blast radius of an outage. Use the zoom controls to navigate large deployments.

Organizations

View the Company Name, Customer ID, and Status of every organization within the orchestrator. Click a Company Name to open the monitor summary page of that organization.

Edge Nodes

View the Status, Edge Node Name, Serial Number, and Node Model of every edge node. Click an Edge Node Name to open the monitor summary page of that edge node.

Access Points

View the Status, Access Point Name, Serial Number, and AP Model of every access point. Click an Access Point Name to open the monitor summary page of that access point.

Other tabs

You can also view the Outages, Notes, Log Report, and Alert Logs tabs for the monitor. Organization monitors additionally include an Audit Logs tab.

For a detailed list of metrics available at each level, see Celona performance metrics.
