Cambium cnMaestro monitoring
Cambium cnMaestro is a cloud-hosted and on-premises network management platform that centralizes visibility across Cambium Networks' Wi-Fi, switching, wireless backhaul, and passive optical network (PON) hardware. Site24x7's Cambium cnMaestro monitoring connects to your cnMaestro controller over its REST API and polls every Managed Account beneath it, so you can track the availability and health of Wi-Fi access points (APs), switches, edges, wireless devices, and PON optical line terminals (OLTs) from a single Site24x7 dashboard.
Use cases
- Track the health of every Cambium device across multiple customer sites or branch offices without logging in to cnMaestro separately for each account.
- Get instant alerts when a Wi-Fi AP, switch, edge, wireless device, or PON OLT managed by cnMaestro goes down or enters a critical state.
- Correlate outages across a Managed Account to identify whether an issue originates at the controller, a specific site, or an individual device.
Benefits
- View the availability, downtime, and device inventory for every cnMaestro Managed Account from one place.
- Visualize how Managed Accounts and devices relate to each other using the topology map.
- Reduce the mean time to resolution by pairing the outage history with alert logs for each device.
- Extend existing Site24x7 alerting, on-call schedules, and third-party integrations to Cambium devices—no separate tool required.
Supported components
| Component | Description |
|---|---|
| Managed Accounts | The customer or site accounts that the cnMaestro controller manages |
| Wi-Fi APs | Cambium Wi-Fi APs, such as the XE3 series |
| Switches | Cambium cnMatrix switches |
| Edges | Cambium SD-WAN edge appliances, such as the Network Service Edge (NSE) 3000 |
| Wireless devices | Cambium wireless backhaul devices, including point-to-multipoint (PMP), point-to-point (PTP), and cnWave 60 GHz links |
| PON OLTs | Cambium PON OLTs |
Prerequisites
- A cnMaestro cloud or on-premises controller with API access enabled.
- The Host URL of the cnMaestro controller.
- The Client ID and Client Secret generated for an API application in the cnMaestro web console, with read access to the Managed Accounts you want to monitor.
To get started, add your cnMaestro controller as a monitor to start collecting availability and performance data for every Managed Account beneath it.
