Workflow Logs

Workflow Logs provide a detailed history and status of all Workflow executions in Site24x7. They help you track what happened, when it happened, and how each step in the Workflow performed, making it easier to audit Workflow executions, troubleshoot failures, and optimize automation sequences.

Workflow Logs surface information such as execution timestamps, statuses, origin triggers, actions performed, input/output results, failure messages, and more, giving you full visibility into your automated processes.

Use cases

Workflow Logs help you:

  • Verify successful executions of automation sequences.
  • Identify failures and their causes.
  • Track execution timelines for compliance and auditing.
  • Debug complex Workflows when conditions or integrations fail.
  • Monitor Workflow behavior over time for optimization.

Accessing Workflow Logs

To access Workflow Logs, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to Site24x7.
  2. Navigate to Admin > Automations > Workflow Logs.
  3. In the Assign a Date field, select a date or click Today to view Workflow executions for the selected period.
  4. Use Filter by Workflow Name, Type, or Status to filter with the options in the drop-down menu.

Understanding the Workflow Logs table

Once you select a date range and apply the filters, the Workflow Logs table displays key details about each Workflow execution including:

  • Workflow Name: Displays the title of the Workflow that was executed.
  • Timestamp: Displays the exact date and time when the Workflow was triggered.
  • Status: Displays whether the Workflow execution succeeded or failed.
  • Origin Monitors: Displays the name of the monitor from which an event or condition triggered the Workflow.
  • Incident Reason: Displays the logic behind why the Workflow was triggered.
  • Destination Hosts for Workflow Execution: Displays the monitors where the Workflow is executed.
  • Outcome Message: Displays the output of the Workflow executed with a maximum character limit of 500.
Note

If you triggered a test run of a Workflow, it may be marked as TEST in the Origin Monitors or Triggered By fields.
