Adding a Juniper Mist monitor

Automatically discover your Juniper Mist organizations along with the access points, switches, and WAN edges under them by using REST-API-based Juniper Mist monitoring. Before you begin, keep your Mist API token and Mist cloud region URL handy. The API token must have read access to the organizations you want to monitor.

Steps to add a monitor

  1. Log in to Site24x7 and go to Network > Juniper MIST.
  2. Click the plus icon + next to Juniper MIST in the left navigation pane.
  3. Provide the following details:
    • Display Name: A name to identify your Juniper Mist monitor in the Site24x7 console.
    • Mist Cloud Region URL: The URL of the Mist cloud region that hosts your organization (for example, api.mist.com).
    • API Token: The API token generated in your Mist portal. Site24x7 uses this token to discover and poll your devices.
    • Organizations: Select the Mist organizations you'd like to monitor.
  4. Configure threshold and availability, notification, and tag profiles as needed.
  5. Click Save.

Site24x7 discovers the organizations associated with your account and adds the access points, switches, and WAN edges under them as child monitors. Once discovery is complete, you can view them under Network > Juniper MIST > Organizations, Access Points, Switches, or WAN Edges.
