Add a Cambium cnMaestro monitor

Add your Cambium cnMaestro controller as a monitor in Site24x7 to track the availability of every Managed Account and device beneath it.

Prerequisites

• A Cambium cnMaestro cloud or on-premises controller with API access enabled.
• The Host URL of the cnMaestro controller.
• A Client ID and Client Secret generated for an API application in the cnMaestro web console, with read access to the Managed Accounts you want to monitor.

Steps to add the monitor

1. Log in to Site24x7.
2. Go to SDN > Cambium Networks, then click the plus icon + beside Cambium cnMaestro. Alternatively, go to Admin > Add Monitor > Cambium cnMaestro.
3. Provide the following details:
   • Display Name: A name to identify this monitor in the Site24x7 dashboard.
   • Host URL: The URL of the cnMaestro controller, with the http:// or https:// prefix (for example, https://cnmaestro.example.com).
   • Client ID: The client ID of the API application generated in the cnMaestro web console.
   • Client Secret: The client secret of the API application generated in the cnMaestro web console.
   • Auto-discover Managed Accounts and Devices: Select Yes to automatically discover all Managed Accounts, Wi-Fi APs, switches, edges, wireless devices, and PON OLTs under the controller, or No to select them manually.
   • Monitor Group: Select an existing monitor group or create a new one.
   • Dependent on Monitor: Select a monitor that this monitor depends on to suppress alerts during a related outage.
   • Threshold and Availability Profile: Select an existing threshold and availability profile or create a new one.
   • Tags: Add existing tags or create new ones.
   • User Alert Group: Select a user alert group to notify when the monitor's status changes.
   • On-Call Schedule: Select an on-call schedule or add a new one.
   • Notification Profile: Select a notification profile to define how and when alerts are sent.
   • Third-Party Integrations: Select the services to forward alarms to, such as Slack, ServiceNow, or Jira.
4. Click Save.

If you chose No for auto-discovery, select the Managed Account to monitor, choose the devices under it, and click Discover to complete setup.

Editing or deleting a Cambium cnMaestro monitor

Go to SDN > Cambium Networks > Cambium cnMaestro, select the monitor, then click Edit or Delete from the monitor's toolbar.
