As IPv6 is becoming the essential backbone protocol for next-generation networking, when can we expect this to be implemented and supported on Site24x7 to report the availability and performance of IPv6 enabled websites and web applications.

Thanks for raising this.
Can you let me know from what locations you will be monitoring the
website which has IPv6 ip address ? Currently it will work in few of
our locations, we will list it explicitly in our listing soon.

Thanks for the response.
We would like to monitor primarily from Sunnyvale, Bangalore, Westford and U.K.
Can you share the current locations where IPv6 is currently configured to work in your system?

Hi Gabriel,
Thanks for raising this request.
Currently we do not have provision to enforce IPv6 monitoring from
our solution. We are currently working on that right now.
Initially we plan to support IPv6 for Website uptime monitoring and
going forward extend it to all monitoring types.
Do you want this feature for Website uptime monitoring or Web Page
Analysis monitoring ?

Raghavan

Hello Raghavan,
like Gabriel we want to do uptime monitoring for IPv6 web site.
We prefer to use Locations in Europe, your list with London, Cologne aso. looks quite good for us.
Is there a way to get this running for one destination URL?

Ulrich

Hello Ulrich,
You are in at a right time. We are ready with our IPv6
monitoring feature. It will be test deployed in our servers starting
next week. Once we see stability in the feature, we will open up to
the users.
Hopefully you will be able to monitor IPv6 url's in 2 - 3
weeks time.
Let me know if you want any further clarifications.

Hello Raghavan,
I see one IPv6 address for Zurich (Europe) probe. I'm happy about this.
Until now I didn't manage to specify an IPv6 test for a web-page and I see IPv6 no probe request on this server.
How can I activate checking with IPv6 for DualStack pages?

Hello Ulrich,
Sorry for keeping you waiting on this. We have released this feature in closed beta. We shall enable it for selective customers who requires this.
Contact our support with your account email address and monitors to be enabled for IPv6 monitoring, so that we will enable it in the backend for you.
Once it becomes stable, we will open it for all the users.

Just to publish the information for other users:
we monitor some web sites from some locations with IPv4 and IPv6. Stability is like expected during beta phase.
