Currently the Site24x7 interface is pretty much impossible to use with multiple tabs (e.g. ctrl+clicking a monitor link should open it in a new tab so I can inspect multiple monitors simultaneously... currently I have to go into the dashboard, find a monitor, click it, then go back to the monitor list, scroll back to where I was, click the next one, etc).

Hi!
Being an AngularJS based single page client app, new client does not support "Open link in new tab" option. However let us know the reason for using new tab for each monitor, which would help us resolve it without new tab option.
If you are opening each monitor's details page in a new tab to compare data between those monitors, we are going to implement compare report which would solve your need. In compare reports, you can select multiple monitors and their performance attributes, the values will be listed in a table in single page.
If you just want to check each monitor's details one by one, we can provide link to go to previous/next monitor from within details page itself, so that you don't need to go back list page to see next monitor.

You can edit alert group for multiple monitors using Bulk Action in Admin tab.
Go to Admin - Inventory - Monitor List. Click "Bulk Action" button. Select monitors using check boxes. Click "Open Bulk Action". Click "Modify User Groups". Select user group(s). Click "Save" button.
Bulk Action section has option to edit different configurations of monitors. Let us know any other option you would like to have there.
