Monitor description field.

It would be really useful if we could have a notes/comments/description field associated to each monitor.

Is this something that you are still not considering as a feature?

HI Rafael,

We believe you are aware of the Notes that can be added for each monitor.
(Monitor Dashboard > Outages and Trouble Alerts > Mouse hover on the Hamburger icon > Edit comment > Enable Post Public > Save).


Once done, you can view the notes under the Inventory and Notes tab. Please check and let us know if this helps. Also brief us more about your requirement incase we got you wrong.

Unfortunately, the notes you are mentioning are relative to an outage. Therefore, we are not able to add notes to the monitors that have never had outages in the past. 

What we need is another field in the add/edit monitor form to attach descriptive notes relative to the monitor, not to its outages.

This field does not have to be particularly long, just a place to add more information without having to display it on the monitor name.

Please let me know if there is anything you can do in the near future.

Gibu,

I'm the OP on the referenced post.  It has had 7 thumbs for a bit now which looks to be high based on other topics and requests.  Has this made it onto the roadmap?
