hyper-v counters

Given the continual delay in official hyper-v support, I was wondering if anyone has tried to create something by monitoring important counters?  Monitoring them just as servers is of limited value as it only really provides up/down monitoring. I need to see load and performance of the host.

Hello Clyde,

Sorry about the delay in Hyper-V support. Site24x7 is working on a full-fledged support for Hyper-V monitoring which includes
  • Overall health,Memory Demand,CPU Usage, Replication health,Checkpoint details etc to effectively monitor all VMs
  • Hypercalls/sec,%Hypervisor Run Time etc to optimize logical/virtual/root virtual processors in Hyper-V
  • Physical pages allocated,Remote Physical pages etc for memory monitoring
  • Bytes Dropped,Bytes sent/received per sec etc for effective monitoring of virtual switches and adapters
  • Error count, flush count, read/write count etc to troubleshoot virtual storage device related issues
  • Current status of the important Hyper-V related windows services like vmms etc
Apart from these, the host load and performance metrics like CPU,Memory,Disk details etc can be seen in the corresponding server monitor.
Hyper-V support is currently in development stage and will be live once it is done.

We need this monitor as well. It's a core request to buy this software. I hope HyperV support release asap.

HyperV is in the final stages of development. We are hoping to release it at the earliest. Also, we will provide you beta access for using the feature before moving it to live.

Thanks for adding this, glad we finally have it available.

I attempted to add this to some of my severs and the rediscover didn't seem to work.  I removed and re-added the server, also installed the latest version of the agent and then it started working.

Seems like redicover isn't adding as it should.

OK; here is another issue.  I have 4 hypervisors in my environment.  I've gone through and added them all but only the first is available.  When I click on the Hyper-V link on the menu instead of showing a list of the hosts, it goes directly to the first servers details.

The issue seems to be that none of the other server registered themselves with HYPERV support.

Thank you - i do see them now.  I have one more host to add.  Should that work now automatically or will you need to do something manually?

Also, i note that when I goto the server page, the top cpu/memory charts are showing machines from a different host - not the one I selected.  They are always showing the virtual machines from the first host I added.

At first the charts were there but the top-n were wrong.  Now they are just all blank.

I apologize for a delay.

Are you still facing the problem in adding the Hyper-V server? If yes, we request you to please share the monitor details to our support at "support@site24x7.com" for further analysis.
