At StatusIQ, we’re continuously working to improve how you communicate with your users, especially during critical moments like incidents. As part of this effort, we are making our status pages more accessible and inclusive so everyone can stay informed with ease.
What is changing?
We are aligning our status pages with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards. This means improvements that help ensure your status pages are easier to read, navigate, and understand for everyone, including users with visual or other accessibility needs.
You may notice a few subtle updates, such as:
- Background colors adjusted for better readability
- Focus ring that highlights the active screen element
- Status indicator colors (Operational, Degraded Performance, Major Outage) refined for improved clarity and contrast
These updates are designed to be minimal and non-disruptive, while still maintaining the familiar look and feel of your status pages.
When will the changes be implemented?
We are introducing these changes in phases to ensure a smooth transition:
- Initial phase roll-out: WCAG-oriented accessibility improvements will be applied to all public status pages by the second week of May.
- Final phase roll-out: WCAG-aligned changes will be updated to StatusIQ, dashboards, and management pages by the end of the second quarter of 2026.
What you need to do?
As these changes are applied automatically, if you are using custom themes, you may want to review your color choices to ensure that they continue to meet accessibility contrast guidelines.
