VMware ESXi Network Alerting - NIC down

Hello,

We have come across some failed NIC's in our environment, unfortunately this wasn't picked up by S24x7 and i cannot see anyway of adding some additional monitoring to get this to trigger an alert.
Would it be possible to get this feature added, so that when a NIC is down we receive an alert.

Example of working host

And a host with 2 failed NICs that are down

VMware is seeing them as down and would be great for S24 to alert us

Hi Paul,

Thank you for raising ESXi NIC Up/down monitoring as a feature request. We have started working on this. I will update this thread once the feature is live.

Regards,

Krishna.

Hi Paul,

The ESXi NIC Up/Down monitoring feature you'd requested is live. Please upgrade your On-Premise Poller to the latest version to use the feature. You can also get alerted when one or more NICs go down by configuring the threshold from the Network tab of your ESXi monitor.

Regards,

Krishna.

Hi Krishna

Yep i spotted it in the poller release notes and have already had it running for the past few weeks, it helped us to find some more NICs that we didn't know were down!

Thanks for the quick turnaround.
