I want the ability to pause page reads for a RUM script..... pulling code from production servers is not easy. I would be nice to pause from the client side.

Hi Patrickh,
As you know, RUM script is a beacon script that is embedded in the webpage. Even if we give pause option from client, the script is not removed and there will be hits to our app servers.
So, we recommend removing the script when not needed.
Anyway, if we come up with better option, we will keep you informed.
