Hi,
Can services (within a server) get monitored to show in the status page, instead of showing the server status, I want to see the services' status.
Regards,
Youssef

Thank you for asking this feature. We do not support this yet however I can visualize why you need it.
Any ways please share some use case so that it increases our conviction on doing this feature faster:
- how would you use this status page with services status in it
- who would be accessing this page
- will this page be integrated in another portal? If yes which one
- What other child monitor status like this one would you like to see
Thanks

Fantastic idea Youssef!
We often want to monitor a single very important Windows service
running on a server. It would be great to be able to create a monitor
for just that service.
Gibu,
a Windows service running on a server can be as important, if not
more important, than the server itself. Managers want to see an
individual, dedicated monitor for just that service. If you give
us the ability to create a dedicated monitor for just one service
we can add this Service monitor to status pages, the NOC view, etc.
This
will also give us the ability to see if the service being
monitored is "Down." Currently, when monitoring a
service on a server, if the service has stopped it will only show
as "In Trouble"

We need the same thing...
We need the ability to create independent monitors for Windows services (or other types of server services). This is because we use many third-party and custom-made Windows services which we want to monitor *independently* of the servers themselves. At present, Site24x7 only lets us monitor Windows services in the context of the server as a whole. Because of this, we may have a storage issue on a server which makes the server appear In Trouble or Down which then makes it appear in NOC View that an important Windows service running on the server is also In Trouble or Down when it is not.
