How to generate alert if a service goes from "Started" to "Stopped" and visa-versa

Hi THere -

During the install, all Windows Servives I see available  in the Server Tools section of my server. However, I just turned a service off on purpose but was not alerted. How do I configure this to send a trouble message when a service changes statuses from "Start" to "Stopped"?

Thanks!

Hi,

Server Tools is to view the list of services available in that server.

Under Service and Process tab, we show the list of services which are being monitored. Here you can discover all the services running on your server and select the service that needs to be monitored.

Is there a away to bulk edit the services instead of going 1 by 1?

Hello,

If you are looking for the Bulk addition/deletion of services and process to other Windows/Linux server monitors in your account, you can do that by following the instructions given in the link below:

https://support.site24x7.com/portal/kb/articles/bulk-addition-deletion-of-services-and-process-in-your-windows-linux-server-monitor

Also, you can also set up a configuration template to associate threshold, resource and notification profiles to the new server monitors added. Additionally, if you would like to auto discover the services running on the Windows server, kindly refer the document given here.

Cheers!

Saranya
