SQL Server Monitor
Monitor SQL server status, database attributes, SQL operations and be alerted about database performance spikes through instant alarms.
Add SQL Server Monitor
- Click Admin > Inventory > Monitors > Add Monitor.
- Select SQL Server Monitor in Add Monitors page.
- Click Download Agent to add the SQL Server Monitor.
The SQL Server Monitor can be added using Site24x7 Windows Server Agent itself. To know how to add the server agent,
refer here.
- Once installed, the agent will auto-discover the Windows server and SQL server the user possess. SQL Server will be auto-discovered when the MSSQL version is 2008 and above.
- For every SQL instance, a seperate SQL Monitor will be added.
Supports MSSQL versions 2008 and above.
Requires .Net versions 3.0 and above.
This monitor is available from Advanced Pack and is considered as a basic monitor.
Rediscover SQL Monitor
In the absence of SQL monitor in the Site24x7 web client or if it has been deleted previously, you can enable it using the rediscover applications feature. Go to the specific server monitor's main display page and click on Actions at the top right corner. Click on Discover Applications in the drop-down to start monitoring SQL again.
