Threshold and Availability for EC2 Instance Monitor
Add Threshold and Availability for EC2 Instance Monitor
Click Admin > Configuration Profiles > Threshold and Availability.
Click Add Threshold in Threshold and Availability screen.
Specify the following details for adding threshold and availability for EC2 Instance Monitor:
Monitor Type: Select EC2 Instance Monitor from the drop down list.
Display Name: Provide a label for identification purpose.
Mention the following details for Threshold configuration:
CPU utilization threshold: Specify a value in percentage to get notified when the CPU utilization exceeds the set value and use the slider button to trigger the required kind of alert.
Network In threshold: Enter the value in bytes to get notified when the number of packets received on that interface exceeds the set value and use the slider button to trigger the required kind of alert.
Network Out threshold: Enter the value in bytes to get notified when the number of packets sent on that interface exceeds the set value and use the slider button to trigger the required kind of alert.
Disk Read Ops threshold: Enter the value to get notified when the disk read operation value crosses the set value and use the slider button to trigger the required kind of alert.
Disk Write Ops threshold: Enter the value to get notified when the disk write operation value crosses the set value and use the slider button to trigger the required kind of alert.
Click Save.
The threshold and availability profile created for EC2 Instance monitor will be automatically listed in the Threshold and Availability screen along with the others already created.
A default threshold and availability profile for EC2 Instance Monitor will be automatically listed in the Threshold and Availability screen when the users for the first time click Admin > Inventory > Monitors > Add Monitor > EC2 Instance Monitor.
Edit Threshold and Availability for EC2 Instance Monitor
Click the profile which you want to edit.
Edit the parameters which need to be changed in Add Threshold and Availability window.
Click Save.
Delete Threshold and Availability for EC2 Instance Monitor
Click the profile in the Threshold and Availability screen which need to be deleted.
This will navigate to Edit Threshold Profile window.
Click Delete.
