Performance metrics of a wireless LAN controller

After you add a wireless LAN controller (WLC) monitor, Site24x7 will start collecting the performance metrics of your Cisco WLC device to analyze the connections. You can set thresholds for these metrics to receive alerts if any of the limits are breached. This ensures that you stay in control and are notified if anything goes wrong. 

The performance metrics are categorized according to the following:

Access Points

Metric Description
IP Address     The IP address of the access point
MAC Address     The media access control (MAC) address of the access point
Serial Number     The serial number of the access point
Location The location of the access point
Admin Status     The admin state of the access point: 
Enable (1) 
Disable (2)
Operational Status     The operational status of the access point: 
1: associated
2: disassociating
3: downloading
CPU Utilization (%) The current CPU load of the access point as a percentage
Memory Utilization (%) The current memory utilization of the access point as a percentage
Connected Clients Count     The number of clients currently connected to the access point
Status The status of the access point: 
Up, Down, Critical, or Trouble

Radios

Metric Description
AP Name The name of the access point
Radio Type The type of the radio:
1: dot11b
2: dot11a
3: dot11abgn
4: uwb
Channel The radio channel of the access point
Admin Status The admin state of the radio: 
Enable (1)
Disable (2)
Operational Status The operational status of the radio: 
Up, Down, Trouble, or Critical
Status The status of the radio: 
1: Down
2: Up

Rogue Access Points

Metric Description
MAC Address     The MAC address of the rogue access point
Channel The radio channel of the rogue access point
SSID The SSID of the rogue access point
State The state of the rogue access point: 
Alert: A trap will be sent out to trap recipients
Known: An internal access point
Acknowledge: The WLC acknowledges the presence of a rogue access point
Clients Connected     The number of clients currently connected to the rogue access point

Metric Description
SSID The SSID of the Cisco WLC device
Access Points Count The number of access points currently connected to the SSID
Clients Connected     The number of users currently connected to the SSID
SSID Out Traffic The amount of traffic that went out of the SSID over a given period
SSID In Traffic The amount of traffic that came in through the SSID in one second
