Options not working in EC2 Instance monitor type even though Server Agent is installed on the instances

Couple issues or missing features in this regards.


1. Email alerts is not having Top processes using CPU or Memory - when checked with Site 24x7 support. The matrix used by this monitor is Ec2, even though the instance is having Site 24x7 server agent installed and is providing Memory / Disk info and all in portal in the same monitor. First this monitor was discovered with auto discovery from AWS. Then we installed agent and the monitors automatically merged. But the type remained EC2 Instance Monitor Type.

 

2. Not able to apply configuration rules on EC2 Instance type for adding process and services.

 

There are couple other options missing because the monitor type in EC2 Instance. Is there an option to override this and make them Server Monitor itself, these instances have agent in them. A reinstall after deleting these monitors will take out the history data as well. We cannot do that. We need the historical data. Please help me resolve this.

With respect to your requirement , kindly find the answers below 

1. The feature request ,for top services/ processes in alert mail, is currently under development and we will update you on this , once its live. 

2. The option to apply the process / services is provided at the EC2 level in configuration rules(PFA). I hope our customer support has helped you with your concern on this and hope things are working fine post the configuration.
