So we are checking our website from 3 locations (California, Chicago and
Washington). We have a few monitors setup and they all report only if
there is a failure of all 3 locations. Currently, for some totally
random reason, the Chicago location is showing that some of our web
servers are down (THEY ARE NOT). So I did a test and removed the
Keyword I'm searching for from my website that I have entered for a monitor.
Within the monitor it shows Trouble from 2 locations. The issue is
that I was never notified because Chicago is down and the Trouble is
not occurring from all locations. If a Keyword match doesn't
occur from 1 location, should I be notified?
NOTE: The reason I'm using all 3 locations is because yesterday
I received about 200-300 emails from you guys because you said our
servers weren't available (AGAIN, THEY WERE).

Hi,
Thanks for raising your query in our Forums.
If the downtime rule is set to be alerted after a monitor is down
form 3 locations, then the down alert will be sent only if three or
more locations go down and not when 1 or 2 locations are down.
Regarding the content check also the same us applicable. We will
perform rechecks from 3 locations in both the cases. Please kindly
note that this is how our alerting logic works.
Regards,
Sushma.
