Define separate recipients for trouble and down alert

Can we have an option to configure separate recipients for different monitor status?

Hi,

Ideally who ever get the Availability status alert would want to receive if the status is changed as well isn't it?

For what usecase do you require such segregation?

We are working on a feature that will group attributes and one can associate that attribute group to a User Group so that specific alerts are triggers to specific groups.

For eg: You can create a specific contentwriter user group. You would also create an attribute group for website for "content change" and "availability" attributes and associate that group to the contentwriter group.

When the content is changed for the website only members in the contentwriter group will be alerted. The idea is that not all members are interested when the content is changed. Different alert groups will be alerted for different attribute level breaches.

May be you can think of your status change alerting in this way too.

Jasper,

In my use case example, this feature would be awesome to do something like:

  • If monitorX is in trouble (no Outage) alert the NOC so they can look into the issue.
  • If monitorX goes fully down after the trouble alert was sent out then notify an escalation team that would call a Major Incident to get the service back up.

While there is an escalation setup already in Site24x7 it doesn't allow the granularity that this ask would provide.
